If you are a programmer viewing the uninstalled source, this directory
is empty except for the README you are reading now. However, if you
are a user or sysadmin viewing the installed software, this directory
holds a backstop configuration whose individual parameters each stand
in in case /etc/mirrorrib.conf for some reason neglects to set
them (most likely because the primary configuration
file, /etc/mirrorrib.conf, has been carried over from an earlier
version of the software). The backstop configuration is autogenerated
from the default /etc/mirrorrib.conf at build time.

If you are a user or sysadmin viewing the installed software, you
need not and should not alter this directory's contents,
but /etc/mirrorrib.conf, rather. The latter overrides.
